Fashion, solidarity, and the power of women’s health
Written by Sheek
On October 7th, creativity, solidarity, and purpose came together in a single moment of hope and empowerment at Café Massai Paris. The occasion? The launch of Foul’Art Rose, an initiative dedicated to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer care, brought to life by Frédérique Kragbé and her NGO Think Tank Nanan.
The evening celebrated women, their health, and their dignity, under the compassionate patronage of Madame la Ministre Élisabeth Moreno.
Guests — including artists, journalists, entrepreneurs, and cultural leaders — came together in a powerful moment of reflection and action. At the heart of the event, Frédérique Gragbé, CEO and Editor-in-Chief of ELLE Côte d’Ivoire, founder of Think Tank Nanan, and a two-time cancer survivor, moved the audience with her testimony — a story of courage, resilience, and unwavering hope.
Guided with grace and intention by Sophy Aiida, the event honored the strength and beauty of women, showing how fashion can become a vehicle for social impact. The solidarity scarves sold throughout the evening were more than accessories — they were symbols of love, awareness, and tangible support, helping to cover medical costs for women undergoing breast cancer treatment.
The event was graced by the special presence of Élisabeth Moreno, former French Minister for Gender Equality and Diversity, who delivered an inspiring opening speech. She reminded the audience that when breast cancer is detected early — especially at a localized stage — the 5-year relative survival rate can reach up to 99%. Her message was clear and urgent: prioritize mammograms and screenings, because early detection saves lives.
As the night came to a close, one truth resonated deeply: pink isn’t just a color — it’s a movement. A call to action. A stand for life.
The Heart of Foul’Art
The Foul’Art Rose project was designed with deep intention. Each scarf represents more than style — it embodies a commitment to care, dignity, and solidarity, ensuring that women who are often deprived of treatment due to financial constraints can access the medical care they need.
There are many ways to support the initiative:
Purchase a solidarity scarf and wear it proudly.
Become an ambassador — share the story, wear the scarf, and mobilize your community.
Support in other ways — through donations, volunteering, or participation in campaigns and fundraisers across the world.
Foul’Art Rose reminds us that empowerment and solidarity can take many forms — through words, through fashion, and through the collective will to make a difference in women’s lives. It is a celebration of hope, a gesture of love, and a powerful reminder that when women unite, change becomes possible.
